t’s the season for local strawberries, the first sweet taste of summer. And big, sweet-smelling peonies, the size of small cabbages—the market’s show-stoppers last week. And, right now, there’s a huge proliferation of fresh-picked lettuces – green, or speckled with purple, ruffled or oak-leaf-shaped -- as well as other vibrant spring greens and vegetables.
